100-mile Diet

St. Andrew's United Church, Grafton is hosting their 10th 100-Mile Diet Event on September 10th from 12 to 4 p.m. at Grafton Arena located at 10766 County Rd 2.

The Mission Statement for this event is: “To encourage & showcase local products produced on the land & to live with respect in creation”.

Why should we support local producers?  Why should we shop locally?  Where does your food come from?  How is it prepared?  What is in your food?  This is your opportunity to have these questions answered. Shop & meet your local farmers. Sample their foods.  Ask questions about their products.

Pure Joy Herbal Creations provides local, nourishing skinfood. We grow the plants, hand-harvest them, dry them in our solar dehydrator and make small batches with our own natural preservative. There's nothing in them that you couldn't eat, which is good, since whatever you put on your skin gets into your body. Come taste some Sea Buckthorn berries and maybe Johanna will make some jelly again this year.
